Searching for 2.5 digit LED

I need a two and a half digit (ie "188") LED 7/16th high digits or about 11
milimeters. These are used on computer cases, radar gun ect. I have had no
luck with web search,  I looked at Digi-Key and Mouser, plus many more ! Color
does not matter that much but would like green if I have a choice. I found
"1","2","3.5",and "4" digit but no "2.5" I know they are made but by who(m)
and were can I buy some. help & TIA

FAQP – FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS POINTER (monthly posting)

Greetings.

This is an AUTOMATED message, posted monthly, informing you of
the existence of a Frequently Asked Questions List for the
SCI.ELECTRONICS.REPAIR newsgroup. I know, "Joy!" :-)

"How do I get it?"

1) WorldWideWeb (WWW):

   Texas, USA (Home Site)

2) E-Mail:
   a) Samuel M. Goldwasser’s Guides (manual):

   Samuel M. Goldwasser (s…@stdavids.picker.com) has volunteered
   to e-mail (uuencoded) copies of his guides in text form. Just
   send him e-mail requesting a copy.

   Warning: Ensure that your mailbox can handle a 3000KB (3MB)
   file – or it will bounce back to Sam and he will *NOT* be happy!

3) FileTransferProtocol (FTP):

   a) The Circuit Cookbook Archive makes available a text snapshot
      of this FAQ in both UNIX (long filenames, tar.gz format) and
      braindead DOS (8.3 filenames, PkZIP format) formats. The
      archive can be found on site(s) below in ‘faq/repair’:

   NORTH AMERICA: CANADA:
   FTP: ftp://ftp.ee.ualberta.ca/pub/cookbook/faq/repair/

   b) The Circuit Cookbook Archive is currently mirrored at

4. Additional Mirrors

   I am very interested in mirroring the sci.electronics.repair FAQ in
   other countries/continents. Since the current size of the FAQ is about
   7.3MB, I would like to have about 8-10MB of space (to anticipate
   future expansion).

   I can process a copy directly for your site and upload it as either a
   tar.Z (unix compress) or tar.gz (GNU gzip) formats (via anonymous ftp)
   to your incoming directory. All you have to do is uncompress&untar it
   in the directory we agreed on (so all the paths work). It’s as simple
   as that![*]

   I am very interested in setting up mirrors in:

     * Australia
     * Asia (Singapore, Japan, Taiwan)
     * South America (Brazil, Argentina)
     * North America (Canada, Alaska, USA, Mexico)
     * Eastern and Western Europe
     * Africa
     * Where ever you may be!

   If you feel that you can provide space for the mirror, please contact
   me, Filip, with ([Feedback Form] or [mailto] ). I look forwards to
   hearing from you.

   [*] To ease portability, all cgi-bin’s are still executed on the
   Texas, USA site. The same is true for the SearchSite and ScopedSearch.
   More involved and comprehensive ‘mirroring’ cgi’s will be written when
   my current killer-term is over. I can’t hande Differential Equations
   and perl at the same time… wait, I feel a brain-cramp coming… it’s
   com… ARRRRGGGHHHHHhhhhh!!!!!! Ow. Ow, ow, ow. [whine]

Take care. V1.10 1/19/97 (posted:Montly) (size:5KB)

P.S. If you do not wish to receive this posting, please investigate
the use of KILL files. I know nothing about your software or setup;
please talk to your support! Hint: "Subject:" line of this posting
will remain the same. Kill it. The crossposting was carefully
researched, but please email me your comment if you think otherwise.

Temp behavior dielectricum of Capacitor

Hi,

We ‘all’ know that the basic formula for a Capacitor is :

      e(r) e(o) A
  C = ———–  (Farad)
          d

the dielectric constants e(r) and e(o) are given for roomtemp.

I want to know the formula for ‘e’ as function of the temperature.

And does the humidity of air have a big role in the e.

The materials i’m working with right now are air, water, alcohol.

grtz,

I need custom circuit (or fancy component) for my guitar preamp.

Hello!  I have a fairly complex problem

I just bought a guitar preamp that has six switch inputs.  These switch
inputs accept a standard tip-sleeve connector.  I need a custom
controller footswitch to control it.  Specifically, I need the
following:

A footswitch with two banks of three switches and six output conductor
pairs.  The footswitches and output conductor pairs have a one-to-one
correspondence.

Basically, each set of 3 switches functions as a set of radio buttons,
where only one button can be engaged at any given time.  The button
selected connects the two wires of the corresponding conductor pair.

In other words:
If I step on Switch A1, the unit should connect the two cables of output
conductor pair A1 and DISCONNECT CONDUCTOR PAIRS A2 AND A3.  If I
depress button A2, the unit connects the wires of pair A2 and
DISCONNECTS PAIRS A1 AND A3.  The second pair of switches and outputs
should behave the same way, only independent of bank A.

Can anyone recommend some *very simple* and *reliable* components that
can accomplish this?  I’ll have to switch the switches with my feet, so
they should be strong and reliable.  Ideally, the unit would have LED
indicators that indicate which switches are currently engaged.  I
suspect that the unit may require momentary switches and some kind of
flip-flop circuit.  The preamp device can supply some current to power
any needed circuits, but ideally the footswitch unit would not require
any power.  If it must be powered, it should work on a 9-volt battery.

Can anyone recommend components and/or a circuit diagram which could
accomplish this?  Thanks 10e6
