Is there any problem if instead of a 74HCT I use a 74HC with a power
supply of 5VDC ?
Can I drive TTL compatible ICs with the 74HCs (at 5VDC)?

 I have a fluke DMM with test leads that seem to have strange type
of banana plugs for connection to the DMM. They seem to be banana
plugs that are longer than the standard with a plastic tube like enclosure.
One of these leads broke, and I need a new set, put can’t seem to
find them. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks

I need an electronic compass to give me the relative direction between
the current heading of my robot and its initial heading. The power supply
on the robot / rover is 12 to 24 V DC. The rover /robot must be light.
With this in mind, I must design an electronic compass and want to use
fluxgates, so:
1. Is this a good decision? Are there better alternatives? Can I buy an
electronic compass in the Ontario, Canada (even better if near Toronto) area?

2. How do I construct a flux gate? What do I need, and how must approx.
will it cost? Can I buy a fluxgate?

3. How accurate is a home made fluxgate? Can it give me an accurate
reading of the earths magnetic field if incorporated with a compass?

4. What are the power requirements of a fluxgate? Power usage and
voltage/current needs, etc?

I’d like to implement low-pass digital IIR-Butterworth type filter on
Motorola’s DSP56002 processor and I’ve found following problem:
– Using Matlab Signal Toolbox I’ve obtained filter coeffitients greater
than 1 (one) while source code for Motorola’s processor needs numbers
that don’t exceed range: -1 < x < 1.
Please send me any information, titles of books or programs ( including
Matlab M-files ) that can help.
