Pls Help, what sort of blown transistor is this? can't identify to replace

Hi,

My bathroom extractor fan has died, i opened it up and found that a
transistor has blown.

It’s quite small and reads :-

20103
ST  MA
A122

I believe that ST is the manuafacturer, but they have been no help so
far.
The fan is a Greenwood Airvac T100-T 240v, a new board is £38+vat+pnp,
i’d much rather pay 12p for a new transistor.

if anyone can help me find an equivilent I’d be most greatful.

thanks
Stewart

LCD – Southwestern Bell eMessage Machine (CIDCO MODEL DETI)

I bought this machine at a garage sale for 5 bucks.  I didn’t really get it
to use it for email.  I did like the display that was in it, however, it’s
fairly large, about 6" wide by 3" tall.  I turned the machine on, the
display appears to work, looks like 1-bit color depth, not sure of it’s
resoloution.

Does anyone know what display and/or display controller is used here?  I
took the display out of the machine, it has a 28 pin connector to the rest
of the machine, but on the display’s circuit board, I can’t find a model of
it anywhere.  If I could find a pinout of it, I would like to make a
paralell or serial controller to run it from a PC for text and simple
graphic output.

Any help in this is appreciated.

Thanks,

Nic

replace XTAL with Crystal?

I want to change the clock value in a device.
I know the unit can handle it but I wanted to ask if anyone know if there
will be an issue.
The current clock generator is an Xtal… I cannot find the correct
frequency XTAL but crystals are easy to get.

thanks for any advice!

Computer Infrared Receiver

Hello, I am interested in building a IR receiver for my computer, and
came across this site:
http://www.geocities.com/CapeCanaveral/Lab/1475/remotectrl.html and I
want to build this schematic:
http://www.geocities.com/CapeCanaveral/Lab/1475/esquema.gif

But I came across quite a problem…
I can’t seem to find either the IS1U60L or the GP1U52X anywhere.
IS1U60L datasheet: http://www.geocities.com/CapeCanaveral/Lab/1475/is1u60l.pdf
GP1U52X datasheet: http://www.geocities.com/CapeCanaveral/Lab/1475/gp1u52x.gif
Does anyone know where I can find it, or a different schematic that
utilises parts that are easier to find? If not, can I replace the
IS1U60L with IS1U621L, or the IS1U60 (Although the schematic calls for
the IS1U60L, I found one datasheet that’s for both IS1U60 and
IS1U60L).

That’s all for now… I will post again if anything else comes up.
Please post or e-mail me with help.

Thanks,
Simon Goldin, a.k.a. Sleepaholic88

Help…Overall Abbreviations Reference

I have searched and searched the internet and, surprisingly, am having
a hard time finding a site that lists the meanings of electronics
abbreviations.

Does anyone know of a site that lists what the abbreviations stand
for, such as

Vz  = Zener voltage
Io  = Output current
Vpp = Voltage peak-to-peak
et cetra…et cetra

We all know there’s lots of abbreviations, but does any one site list
them all????  Someone out there HAS to know.

Thanks!

Wanted 2SK1412 Sanyo mosfet

I want to get a couple or more of these mosfet transistors.
I am in Wroclaw, Poland. If you any sources please let me know.
Normal suppliers have either no stock or huge MOQ’s.
Just need a few more for prototyping.

Bad batch of CS8900's?

A customer has a problem with the latest batch of CS8900 chips. It
seems that TCP packets with a segment size of greater than or equal to
1030 bytes are not being transmitted correclty by the chip. The chip
is changing the data to FFFF words, every other word, for about 8
times in a row, and then resumes sending the correct data.

We also tried doing Internal Loopback and External Loopback tests
using large (1460 byte) UDP packets and these chips fail this also.
Previous batches (with different date codes) work fine. The chips are
on a custom PC-104 board in conjunction with a commercial CPU board.
We’ve checked the bus timing and everything looks fine.

The chips are part number CS8900A-IQ and the batch code is KTAALD0239.
Anyone else see similar problems?

Bob
