Need Help Identifying a Relay – SDS DR5V

Hello,

We are trying to identify an electromechanical relay on a PC board we
bought from OR Industrial Computers in Germany.  The markings on the case are:
SDS DR5V.  (The SDS looks like a logo). According to OR, it is rated to 160
volts AC and 3 amperes.  We would very much like to get a data sheet from the
original company.  The U.S. sales rep. said the relays may be from
Switzerland!  Any ideas?

Thank you,

Germany, more likely, but they are all over the place. Anyway, SDS was
absorbed by Matsushita Automation Controls, some while back. Their
catalog lists the relay with the following specs:

    Coil voltage:           5V (<4.0V pick-up, >0.3V drop-out)
    Coil resistance:        320 Ohms +/- 10%
    Contact arrangement:    1 Form C  ( = SPDT )
    Contact ratings:        33VA, 20W
Max. contact voltage:   110V AC, 30V DC
Max. contact current:   0.3A AC, 1A DC (Looks like that should be the inverse)

There’s a lot more than that, but if this isn’t enough, you’d surely be
better served by calling them. Their European head office is:

    EURO-Matsushita Electric Works AG
    Rudolf Dieselring 2
    D-W-8150 Holzkirchen
    Germany
    FAX +(8024) 648 111

I don’t have addresses of US representatives, sorry. If all else
    fails ask again.

That was most helpful!  The catalog is on it’s way.  Sometimes usenet does
    ‘come thru’.

    thanks,

    I can send a photocopy of "NEC PS2501 -1, -2, -3 ,-4 PHOTO COUPLERS" datasheet
by mail to you. Let me know if you’re still interested! and also your address.
