I’m looking for a schematic for a simple, proven micro controller
design based on the x86 processor (8088, 8086 or 80286 prefered) and a
few discrete components (RAM, ROM, etc).
I just need the basics: cpu, RAM (64k is fine), ROM (64k is also fine)
and UART.
I would greatly appreciate any help pointing me in the right
direction.
Thanks!

Try the AMD 188ES or 188EM everything is built into the controller, the
) friendly AMD
only components you need is RAM and program memory and a RS232
buffer/driver. Get information from your (hopefully
disti.
