Epcos UltraCap 2700F / 2.3 V
datasheet there
( http://www.dialelec.com/275.html)
Wow 2700F That is alot of electron !
Someone played with it ?
Is it the biggest ?
But it’ probably not cheap !

Prob being used as a backup voltage source for a mpu. Think what size they
would be if 10 or 35 wv, Eh LOL

Probably used like a rechargeable battery to preserve SRAM or other
function. When would they start labeling those caps at KF?
Digikey also offer Gold Cap Serie
with a 50F cap for and acceptable price ( $16 cdn)
Someone replace their robot batteries with those caps ?
;o)

With M6 screw terminals and a 400A discharge current rating?
It weighs 3/4 of a kg and holds about as much energy as an AA NiMH cell.
What they have going for them is they can be charged or discharged in about
10 seconds.

The most ‘scary’ capacitor, I every dealt with, was only 0.25F, but at 600V.
It was the size of a small fridge, and had a momentary discharge current
rating, over 10000A.
The astonishing thing about the capacitor being mentioned, is that it is the
first low voltage ‘supercap’ I have seen, with this sort of current rating
(most have ESR’s of several ohms). I am still trying to work out a really
‘useful’ application. Perhaps an array of about a twenty, used for an
application like regenerative braking, on DC motors?.
Best Wishes
